About our Club
We are a smallish, friendly club who meet every Tuesday evening in term time at the Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre from 7.30 and we are looking for new members. Our club encompasses members of all ages and all abilities who enjoy dancing together to recorded music and under the careful eye of our teacher.
We welcome visitors and potential members of all standards.
We run a Learn to Dance programme for complete beginners, starting with a FREE introductory evening. We run these twice a year but if you can’t wait for the next one we’d love you to start at any time! You don’t need to be Scottish, or wear a kilt. Just come along and try it. As a form of exercise it has considerable health benefits but just as importantly it is really good fun. Be warned: it can be addictive!
Our club is affiliated to the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society and we have a fully trained RSCDS teacher.
Here’s what some of our members say:
‘I just wish I’d discovered it sooner’,
‘Where else could you have such fun for a fiver?’
‘I’ve been coming for 5 weeks and everyone’s so friendly and helpful,’
If you think this might be for you please explore FAQ, Learn to Dance and Contact tabs.
The club is held in the Colston Hall at the Memorial Centre, East Common, Gerrards Cross, SL9 7AD.
There is a large, free car-park on site.
The Memorial Centre is a 10 minute walk from Gerrards Cross station (Chiltern Line).
On the last evening of each term we have a light bring-and-share supper, and enjoy dancing our favourite dances with friends from other local clubs.
On a Sunday in late January we hold our annual Tea Dance, with live music. This always attracts a large attendance from clubs as far away as Surrey and Kent, tempted by the friendly atmosphere, helpful dance walkthroughs and magnificent afternoon tea! Not to be missed!
The Standard fee is £6 per night for Members and Visitors. Potential members get their first night FREE.
There is an option to pay termly, which attracts a 10% discount.
